One-Click Integration Streamlines Perishable Product Pricing

MEDICINE HAT, ALBERTA - Auto~Star Compusystems Inc. announced today the integration of Pathway 2000 scale management software with Star~Plus point-of-sale software.

The integration, which utilizes a new application named Path2Star, offers grocery
retailers a fast and accurate means to update pricing on perishable items on both scale management and point-of-sale programs. Path2Star eliminates the need to parse a comma-separated file from Pathway 2000 into Star~Plus. Now, with one click, pricing information is transferred directly.

Pathway 2000 offers an easy to use interface for scale PLU data management. It
includes PLU scale description, tare information, shelf life, ingredient text, nutritional data support, file reporting, and scale communication. “Path2Star is an easy to use, fast way to merge pricing information from Pathway to Star~Plus,” said Terry Selkirk, Vice-President of Sales at Genesis.
