The Pharmasave Conference & Trade Show 2026 transformed the Metro Toronto Convention Centre into a hub for pharmacy innovation, technology, and industry connection. The event brought together Pharmasave members, vendor partners, and pharmacy professionals from across Canada for several days of networking, collaboration, and conversations focused on the future of community pharmacy.
A Pharmasave Convergence of Community and Ideas
Pharmacy owners and operators are navigating rapid changes in retail technology, patient expectations, inventory management, cybersecurity, and operational efficiency and came to the conference looking for smarter solutions. The Pharmasave slogan of “Better Care, Better Business, Better Together,” perfectly reflected the conversations happening throughout the show floor, showcasing the strengths of coming together to find solutions for common challenges and inspiration from industry leaders of the banner.

AI Receiving: Auto-Star Innovation
One of the biggest points of interest at our booth was the live demonstration of Auto-Star’s new AI Receiving feature. Built to simplify the inventory receiving process, the tool uses artificial intelligence and computer vision technology to identify products directly from a packing slip or invoice photo, eliminating the need to manually scan individual items. Once the document is captured, the system automatically matches products, quantities, and pricing against the purchase order and prepares the receiving entry within RxPOS. By reducing manual data entry and repetitive scanning, AI Receiving helps pharmacies speed up inventory processing, improve accuracy, and reduce the time staff spend in the back office.
An Interactive Experience
Kudos to the National Pharmasave team and event planners for organizing the show, as this year’s event also focused on engagement across the show floor. The passport program encouraged attendees to visit multiple booths and collect stamps, driving more interaction and discovery.
The interview booth added another layer, giving attendees a chance to share their perspectives and experiences as Pharmasave partners.
For our team, a key highlight was reconnecting with long-term customers in person and having meaningful conversations and sharing new features in our latest release of RxPOS to help them meet their goals.
The event wrapped up with Pharmasave’s 45th anniversary and an 80s-themed gala, providing a fun setting to connect with the broader community.
